10th Dec 2024
Coming in 2025: Please Don’t Call Me: Graphic Design and Other Hang-Ups features for the first time, a massive collection of posters, logos, packaging, and ephemera from Sugiuchi's 35 plus years toiling in the field of graphic design. The book also includes sketches, scribbles, failures and behind-the-scenes commentary on projects for film, music and beyond. Lots of cool stuff to look at without the messiness of "words" and "reading, plus a foreword by Art Chantry
About the Designer
Scott Sugiuchi is a self-proclaimed pop culture junkie and graphic designer. On occasion he plays bass with garage legends The Hate Bombs as well as releasing records on the irreverent Hidden Volume Records. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Sugiuchi's work is deeply rooted in comic books, advertising from the middle of the twentieth century, cult cinema, and trash rock. He currently resides in Santa Fe, NM and is the art director for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. He's worked with everyone from Green Day to John Waters. Sometimes he gets paid.
